Kitchen Installs
Full kitchen installations — cabinets, islands, uppers and lowers, and finish carpentry around the room.
A kitchen install is more than hanging boxes on a wall. Koala Construction handles full and partial kitchen installations across Greater Austin and the Hill Country — base and upper cabinets, islands, tall units, panels, fillers, and the finish carpentry that makes a kitchen look intentional when the last drawer is shut.
We work on new construction, remodels, and phased updates where cabinetry arrives before counters, backsplash, and appliances. Our team templates openings, confirms appliance clearances, and sequences install so plumbers, electricians, and stone fabricators have what they need when they need it. Surprises at the slab stage are expensive; we treat field verification as part of the job, not an afterthought.
Cabinetry, islands, and room context
Kitchens in Central Texas range from compact galley layouts to open plans with large islands and floor-to-ceiling storage walls. We install inset and overlay doors, mixed-height uppers, microwave and oven towers, and island bases wired for outlets and seating overhangs. When your design calls for integrated panels on refrigerators or dishwashers, we build and fit those on site so the gaps stay even across the run.
Our core strength is custom cabinetry — many kitchen projects start as cabinet scope and expand into full-room install as counters, trim, and hardware come together. If your kitchen connects to a pantry, desk niche, or closet system, we can align finishes and heights so the transition does not look like two different contractors worked the same wall.
Who we work with
Homeowners planning a remodel, builders on a spec or custom home, and designers who need a reliable install partner all use Koala for kitchen casework. We communicate in plain language about what is in scope — demo of existing cabinets, patch and paint touch-ups, haul-off, and coordination with other trades are spelled out before work begins.
Not every kitchen needs a full gut. We also take on partial installs: new island, replacement uppers, or a single wall run when the rest of the kitchen stays in place. Tell us what you are keeping and what is changing; we will quote the install portion honestly.
